i am still alive

Thu Apr 20, 2006, 5:54 AM
so the parallax365 thing didnt really go for as long as i had hoped. It kind of go to feel like work and stopped being fun, which is something i want art to always be for me. so im renaming the parallax365 series the parallax vol. 1 and have others after it, parallax vol. 2, etc.

It was a very, very, good project. The results were amazing. I can't wait for vol. 2!

No rush! I still can't believe you're willing to anyway! -squeal-

you have a point. when art begins to feel like an obligation, why continue doing it? but then again. it still requires some level of discipline and perhaps - order. or maybe not. how subjective it is! either way, its ok. art is art. ;)

no, it does take discipline. I'm an insane perfectionist and i thought i might be able to break that by being forced to do a piece of art every day.. like hey, i can just throw some crap on paper and it'd be fine. but i created extreemly high standards for my dailyworks and would do multiple projects till i was happy enough with one to post. and that ended up taking 2-3 hours a day. most days. it just got to be way too overwhelming when coupled with school full time, work full time, freelance work and my fiendish videogame addiction.

but all said and done, it was one of the best things any artist can do, i believe.
